A mass poisoning occurred at a factory in Sumgayit, APA reports.
The incident took place at a textile factory.
An emergency medical team was called to the scene.
In response to an inquiry from APA, the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) stated that starting at around 4:05 PM on April 21, 19 people (16 women and 3 men) were hospitalized in the Infectious Diseases Department of City Hospital No. 1, under the Sumgayit Medical Center.
They were diagnosed with unconfirmed bacterial food poisoning, and each received necessary medical treatment. Currently, 14 people are undergoing further treatment.
Five individuals with satisfactory conditions were discharged and sent home for outpatient care.
