The National Agency for Mine Action of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) received 31 appeals from the "102" Service Call Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and 3 appeals from the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the discovery of shells in Agjabadi, Agdam, Jabrayil, Goranboy, Fuzuli, Goranboy, Khojavend and Tartar regions from November 30 to December 2.
ANAMA told APA that on the basis of 34 calls, 55 l operations were carried out by the special mobile operational groups of the agency together with the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. During the search operations, 303 unexploded ordnance, 17 9N235 bombs, 79 anti-tank mines, 12 anti-personnel mines, 29 anti-tank mines, 3,274 cartridges of various calibers, 5,400 grams of gunpowder and 112 exploded shell remnants were found.
The operation to clear the road to be constructed from Tartar region to Sugovushan village of mines and unexploded ordnance has been completed, 118 anti-personnel mines, 99 anti-tank mines, 4 anti-tank mine explosives and 7 unexploded ordnance (UXO) have been found and neutralized.
The Agency's detonation team cleared 55 mines and unexploded ordnance, and Mine Awareness Specialists conducted mine safety awareness campaigns among 80,141 civilians.
