Baku – APA. Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a phone call to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on July 4.
The Turkish president congratulated his Azerbaijani counterpart on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
President Aliyev, for his part, thanked for the attention and congratulations, extended congratulations to Erdogan and wished the Turkish people well-being and prosperity.
The presidents expressed confidence in further successful development of friendly and fraternal ties between the two countries in all areas.
Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani also made a phone call to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on July 5.
The Iranian president congratulated his Azerbaijani counterpart on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, wished the Azerbaijani people well-being and prosperity.
President Aliyev, for his part, thanked for the attention and congratulations, extended congratulations to Rouhani and wished the Iranian people well-being and prosperity.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that the Iranian president’s visit to Azerbaijan that is expected to take place in August will contribute to further development of bilateral relations between the countries.
The Azerbaijani and Iranian leaders praised the successful development of friendly ties between the two countries.
Moreover, the presidents exchanged views on issues of cooperation in the political, economic, transport and energy sectors, as well as joint cooperation in the Caspian Sea.
