Baku – APA. “Young people should be knowledgeable but also patriotic, and they need to both be familiar with history and historical realities and propagate them,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said Tuesday addressing the opening of the Vocational and Technical High School named after Heydar Aliyev in Kars, APA reports.
President Ilham Aliyev said there is a dirty campaign ongoing against Azerbaijan and Turkey.
“Some foreign circles are continuously carrying campaigns against us in order to discredit our past, slander and deny our current successful development, while we respond to them with our work. It’s hard to find a country as developed as Turkey and Azerbaijan. In spite of crises, Azerbaijan and Turkey continue to develop. Our development has been built upon political will and historical realities, upon which we build our future. We present history as it is to the younger people, unlike other countries which distort history and build their future upon lies. The Armenian state, which raises unfounded claims against Azerbaijan and Turkey, has been built upon a lie. Their history is upon a lie, and their claims against us are baseless”, said the president.
The head of state said there historical facts and realities.
“These documents are clear cut. We are upon the truth, and our affair is right,” President Aliyev underlined.
