Good oppportunity to discuss some of issues on agenda, says EU ambassador

She made the remarks on the European Parliament's anti-Azerbaijani resolution dated Sept.10.

The ambassador said that the resolution of European Parliament regarding Azerbaijan is being studied now in many capitals of European Union. “But, we are trying to consider the areas in which we can cooperate with Azerbaijan. Of course, this resolution attracted too much attention in Azerbaijan. In Azerbaijan, there were statements strongly criticizing the European Parliament but I am convinced that there is a good opportunity for dialogue in order to discuss some of the issues on the agenda.

I think it has been very clear from European Commission’s vice president Sefcovic that Azerbaijan is and will remain a very important partner in energy. This is something that is very clear that our energy relation is of strategic importance for the European Union and don’t think there will be any changes in long-term perspective, we are very glad to cooperate with Azerbaijan on South Gas Corridor,” she said.
