Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. Normalization of Russia-Turkey ties following Erdogan’s letter and Cavusoglu’s visit to Sochi will have a positive impact on regional issues, as well as contribute to the solution of the Syrian crisis, said Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
He made the remarks during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku July 12.
Lavrov noted that Russia-Turkey ties do not affect the strategic relations between Moscow and Baku.
The FM stressed that Russia stance’s on the Syrian crisis doesn’t coincide with that of Turkey.
