Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on Tuesday left for Moscow on a working visit on the initiative of Russia, Hikmat Hajiyev, spokesman for Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, told APA.
The date of the visit has been pre-negotiated with the Russian side, Hajiyev noted.
During the visit, Mammadyarov will meet with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov to discuss the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of the agreements reached in the Vienna and St. Petersburg talks of Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents.
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian paid a visit to Moscow on Jan. 19 to discuss with his Russian counterpart the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
