Azerbaijan â€“ model for whole Eurasia in terms of stability and peace, says IOM director general

Baku. Turbat Baghirova – APA. Azerbaijan is a model for the entire Europe in terms of ensuring stability and peace, the Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) William Lacy Swing told reporters in Baku on Sep.3.

He expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for pursuing multiculturalism and open policy. “My visit to Azerbaijan was very good. I am impressed with the socio-economic development,” the director general added.

Noting the successful organization of the first-ever European Games in Azerbaijan, the director general expressed his confidence that the Islamic Solidarity Games will also be held at a high level.
