"In our societies, the critical element of success is precisely unity and solidarity. Through cooperation with states, civil society organizations, and the Muslim community, social inclusivity can be ensured," said Mehmet Pachaji, the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative on Combating Islamophobia, during the panel titled "Anti-Muslim Hate Policy: Legal Frameworks and Propaganda Strategy" at the international conference "Islamophobia in Focus: Unveiling Bias, Shattering Stigmas."
In his opinion, he proposed the development of globally effective and impactful mechanisms to analyze existing problems:
"We believe that one of the tools in tackling Islamophobia must be education. Only through a centralized approach can these tendencies be prevented. Laws adopted against racism should be more comprehensive based on local and international experiences. It is also essential to fight anti-Islamic tendencies through both mass media and social media. Such initiatives contribute to increasing responsibility in interfaith dialogue. By creating international mechanisms and effectively reviewing them, we can both understand the problems and achieve effective results. In our societies, the critical element of success is precisely unity and solidarity. Through cooperation with states, civil society organizations, and the Muslim community, social inclusivity can be ensured."
The speaker called on international organizations to consider religious discrimination as a part of social injustice:
"In this matter, the responsibility of mass media and the necessity for a more mature society are crucial. A society must be built where the principles of justice and equality prevail."
