This year, a trilateral meeting of the Speakers of the Parliaments of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia will be held in Türkiye, said Numan Kurtulmuş, Speaker of Türkiye’s Grand National Assembly, during a joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Shalva Papuashvili, who is on a visit to Ankara, APA’s Tbilisi correspondent reports.
He noted that the trilateral meeting, which was planned for 2023 but postponed due to an earthquake in Türkiye, will be held this year, with Türkiye hosting the event.
Numan Kurtulmuş emphasized that over time, it is possible for the speakers of other Caucasus countries’ parliaments to join the trilateral format.
