"3 years ago, the Shusha Declaration was signed in this ancient city, crowning the invaluable relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan," Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz said at the Informal Summit of the Heads of State of Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Azerbaijan's Shusha, APA reports.
Cevdet Yılmaz noted that Azerbaijan's official victory was declared in the 44-day war with the liberation of Shusha: "We say that Garabagh is Azerbaijan and will always be Azerbaijan. There is a historic opportunity. The signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia soon is crucial for peace and stability in the South Caucasus. The opening of transport routes in the South Caucasus will create great opportunities for the Turkic world."
Cevdet Yılmaz emphasized that despite the unjust approach of international organizations over decades, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the people of Azerbaijan achieved victory in their just struggle: "It is unacceptable for such centers to unjustly target Azerbaijan today. Standing against this is also a requirement of our brotherhood."
