“As Türkiye, we support Ukraine’s territorial integrity,” said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, APA reports.
The minister noted that Türkiye has strong bilateral relations with both countries: “Since the beginning of the war, we have advocated that a just peace can only be achieved through negotiations. Today, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is meeting with our President in Ankara. A delegation from Russia is in Istanbul. A delegation from the United States has also come to Türkiye. The necessary will for peace has finally been demonstrated. If agreement is reached between the positions of the parties, a significant step will be taken toward peace. We have enough reason to be hopeful. A just peace will be achieved.”
Note that the Secretary of State Marco Rubio leads the US delegation.
