"Although Khankendi has only recently been liberated, both social and educational life here have returned to normal. There are wonderful students studying at Karabakh University," Türkiye’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Birol Akgün, said during a visit to Karabakh as part of the diplomatic corps delegation, APA reports.
He noted that the progress is a result of the efforts led by the President of Azerbaijan: "Although Khankendi has only recently regained its freedom, both social and educational life here have resumed. There are wonderful students studying at Karabakh University. We are delighted to be here and witness the measures taken by the Azerbaijani government. We also visited the university’s Faculty of Arts and watched performances by its students. In a short period of time, very talented students have emerged here. They are studying engineering and foreign languages. This indicates that successful students will continue to thrive in Khankendi, Shusha, and throughout Karabakh. All of this has been achieved through the efforts of President Ilham Aliyev. I congratulate everyone who has contributed to this work. As a brotherly nation, we take pride in seeing Azerbaijan’s successes in this area. Reconstruction efforts are progressing at full speed in Karabakh. We were thrilled to see the newly built roads and schools. Today is a joyful day for us."
