Slovenia is a state that respects the UN Charter, said Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, APA reports.
The minister noted that her visit to Azerbaijan came at the right time: "Mr. President and Mr. Minister briefed me on the situation in the region. I received specific information regarding the peace agreement. We are interested in establishing peace between both countries. I commend the finalization of text of the peace agreement and urge both sides to sign it promptly. This agreement will have significant importance — both for the region and other countries. Once signed, it will make a major contribution to connecting Central Asia and Europe, bridging East and West."
