"On January 27, 2023, the execution of the sentence against Yasin Huseynzade, who carried out the attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran, resulting in the death of one of our compatriots and the wounding of two others, requires certain procedures," Kamran Aliyev, Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan told journalists, APA reports.
"We are continuing our relations with the Iranian side in this direction. Here we are only talking about procedural issues. You know that the verdict of the court of first instance must be approved by the Supreme Court of Iran. The procedural rule is that after this procedure is carried out, the verdict will be directed to execution," he said.
