Today’s session is another significant event, said Natalia Kiselova, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, at the 65th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Co-operation (PABSEC) held in the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.
Natalia Kiselova noted that sustainable prosperity for the countries of the Black Sea region can only be ensured through strengthening economic cooperation: “We must develop our collective efforts not only to strengthen regional but also international cooperation. This year, the European Union has presented a new project to strengthen stability in the Black Sea region. This initiative aligns with our interests. Therefore, the topic of today’s session on development in the Black Sea region is relevant to the agenda. High-quality transport infrastructure not only facilitates trade but also increases the competitiveness of economies. Sustainable efforts in the Black Sea region should be directed towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This requires the adoption of new policies that will meet the greater expectations of citizens and businesses by transitioning to principles of sustainable and secure development. Today, as members of PABSEC, we have the opportunity to meet expectations by developing an adequate vision for sectoral progress for the future of the regional economy.”
