“Today, France is trying to teach Azerbaijan a lesson on the Garabagh issue, however, it does not respect human rights in its colonies in Africa,” said Kémi Séba, a Pan-African political activist and journalist known for his anti-colonial policy and anti-imperialist positions, at a press conference held in Baku, APA reports.

He said that he’s hopeful that cooperation with the Azerbaijani side in the fight against global neocolonialism will continue:

“As an international organization, we strive to be by the side of Africans living all over the world. I have always witnessed France's oppression against African peoples. There I witnessed the racist behavior of the French against black people. In Africa, during my time as a political journalist, I witnessed how French colonialism deteriorated the situation in the region. Even during the reign of Charles De Gaulle, France began to settle its people in our territories. I have started my activities in the direction of the movement against the policy of French neocolonialism for a long time within the framework of my organization. That period was the beginning of the struggle against France's military bases in our territories," the political activist concluded.
