On June 13, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Paweł Radomski, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
During the meeting, the ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The Minister congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic activities in Azerbaijan. Confidence was expressed that the new ambassador will spare no effort for the further development of relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the current level of the Azerbaijani-Polish political dialogue, and it was noted that high-level mutual visits and contacts have created a solid foundation for the sustainable nature of relations.
The importance of mechanisms such as political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and the Working Groups on Interparliamentary Relations in the comprehensive and systematic development of Azerbaijani-Polish interstate relations was discussed.
The importance of strengthening joint activities to maximize the potential and opportunities for cooperation in the economic sectors, including traditional and green energy, transport, and logistics sectors was emphasized. The sides discussed the development of cooperation and opportunities for strengthening exchanges in the humanitarian direction, including education, culture, sports, and youth dimensions.
During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided the other party with detailed information on the history of the past Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, as well as the realities and developments of the post-conflict period. The negotiations on the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace agreement concluded in March of this year, and the factors hindering the signing of the agreement were discussed, including the claims against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Armenian constitution and the abolition of mechanisms that have lost their relevance and functionality, such as the Minsk Group.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on other regional and international developments and challenges of mutual interest.
