"Determining grave sites in territories liberated from Armenian occupation after the Patriotic War and anti-terrorist operations, clarifying the fate of our missing citizens by carrying out the necessary excavation and exhumation works is the most important task that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev has set before the State Commission," said Ali Nagiyev, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan's State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons during his speech at the international conference on "Addressing the problems of missing persons: upholding the right to know for the families", APA reports.

He said that there is information about the burial places of the Azerbaijanis who were naturally lost on the Armenian side, who occupied the territories of Azerbaijan recognized by the international community for nearly 30 years, captured and took their citizens as hostages, including the Armenian field commanders who led the military operations. Although this issue has been repeatedly brought to the attention of the Armenian side through international organizations, official Yerevan still does not provide relevant information to Azerbaijan."
