The Research Center of the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization (NAMYO) has been inaugurated in Baku, APA reports.
The event was attended by government officials, ambassadors, representatives and staff of UN agencies in Azerbaijan, as well as prominent scholars and researchers.
Chair of the NAM Youth Organization and COP29 Youth Climate Champion Leyla Hasanova provided information about the center's library and available resources.
Deputy Foreign Minister and COP29 Lead Negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev emphasized the important role of the NAM Youth Organization in enhancing the scientific and technical potential of young researchers from NAM member states.
UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, Vladanka Andreeva, spoke about the importance of knowledge and experience exchange focused on youth participation in sustainable development.
A video presentation was shown highlighting the projects implemented by the NAM Youth Organization throughout its operation.
At the end, the guests were introduced to the main focus areas and annual activities of the Research Center in a presentation by center manager Kamilla Mammadova.
