The 50th anniversary of the International Cernobbio Forum (TEHA Forum), organized by Italy's think tank The European House - Ambrosetti on the topic "Today and Tomorrow's Scenario for Competitive Strategies", has begun, APA reports.
At the traditional forum, which will be held from September 6 to 8 at the Villa d'Este located on the shores of Lake Como, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, and Queen of Jordan Rania Al Abdullah are expected to attend. Italian President Sergio Mattarella addressed a video message to the participants of the international event.
Heads of state and government of 6 countries, heads of 13 local executive bodies and 11 ministers of Italy, and speakers and guests from political, academic, institutional, and business spheres from 27 countries will participate in the forum. Every year, more than 1,300 people work for the event, which is attended by 300 speakers and covered by up to 400 journalists. The Forum has a socio-economic impact of around 4 million euros for Italy and contributes 2 million euros to the GDP.
Since 1975, the international event known as the Cernobbio Forum, organized every year in September, discusses current issues and problems facing the world economy and societies. The first day of the event is usually devoted to global problems in economic, geopolitical, scientific, and technological fields. On the second day, the main focus is on Europe, and the most pressing issues related to the European Union are discussed. The third day is dedicated to Italy with the participation of government representatives, officials, and important people from business and finance.
As part of this year's forum, a photo exhibition called "50-year view of the world" was opened in Villa d'Este.
