The administrative process regarding the appointment of Iran's new ambassador to Azerbaijan has been completed, said the spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baghaei, at today’s press conference, APA reports.
Baghaei noted that Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan has been selected and presented.
“Relations with the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus are very important to us. The administrative process regarding the selection of Iran's new ambassador to Azerbaijan has been completed, the desired person has been chosen, and the relevant procedures are ongoing. He is a very experienced diplomat specialized in Eurasian affairs,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry representative said.
According to him, the name of the ambassador will be announced after the administrative process is finalized.
