"The international community must come together to solve the landmine problem and identify ways to reduce the number of mine victims as much as possible," Joachim von Loeben, a traveler from Germany who visited Garabagh, said, APA's local correspondent reports.

The German traveler said that he visited Azerbaijan for the first time: "I really admired the country. I visited the northern region of Azerbaijan on the border with Russia. I have been in Guba. A visit to Garabagh is also very interesting, especially to see the reconstruction works going on here. It's amazing to see how quickly you are doing the restoration work."

The traveler said that he was in Shusha and that he especially loved this city: "Today we had the opportunity to see this ancient bridge on the border with Iran. It is an interesting historical monument. We also learned about demining. We saw how powerful the mine explosions were, but at the same time we saw how slow the process was, how careful mine searches were. A maximum of 8 mines can be defused per day. Now I understand why this process requires so much money and effort. I hope that the international community will provide financial support and technology to Azerbaijan to overcome this problem. Otherwise, it will take 20 years to completely clear the territory of Azerbaijan from mines. I pray and hope that other countries will help you more in solving this problem. I have been here for four days, and I am sure that I will return to this beautiful country, Azerbaijan."
