Increasing number of Azerbaijani trading houses in China proposed

It has been proposed to increase the number of Azerbaijani trade houses in China, Lin Li Chenggang, Deputy Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and China's international trade representative said during the 10th meeting of the Azerbaijan-China Intergovernmental Trade-Economic Cooperation Commission, APA reports.

Lin Li Chenggang emphasized that his country attaches special importance to economic relations with Azerbaijan. While noting China's being interested in expanding the volume and variety of imports of Azerbaijani products, he particularly highlighted the great demand for pomegranate products and wine in China. He also pointed out that there are significant opportunities for the export of poultry, hazelnuts, and almonds to China.

Furthermore, Mr. Lin Li Chenggang expressed support for Azerbaijan's initiatives regarding membership in the World Trade Organization and indicated readiness to work together with official Baku in this regard.

Chinese officials have expressed their interest in expanding mutual investments and trade and have proposed increasing the number of Azerbaijani trade houses in China.
