"We are very worried about the fate of the missing persons,” said Florence Anselmo, Head of Central Tracing Agency of the International Committee of the Red Cross during her speech at the international conference on "Addressing the problems of missing persons: upholding the right to know for the families", APA reports.

She said that they are in great need of joint international steps: "Such issues are the responsibility of the conflict parties. Families should be supported, as well as psychological support should be provided. What they have been through is not easy. We must solve these issues together, hand over the missing persons to their families. As the ICRC, I should emphasize that there must be communication between the conflict parties. States that are parties to the conflict must also follow political decisions and humanitarian rules. I think that one day the worries of these families will end. I want to thank the state of Azerbaijan for paying so much attention to this issue. We have groups working with Azerbaijan. Today, political societies should also contribute to this issue. Our efforts should be in the direction of joint action. The principles of humanism must be respected."
