German government: Chancellor calls on Azerbaijan and Armenia to conclude peace talks as soon as possible

The Press- and Information Office of the Federal Government (BPA) released information about the meeting held by Chancellor Olaf Scholz with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in Munich, APA reports.

Information posted on the government's website says that today Chancellor Scholz met with the President of Azerbaijan Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Armenia Pashinyan at the Munich Security Conference.

"In this tripartite discussion, the chancellor called for Azerbaijan and Armenia to conclude peace talks as soon as possible. Germany and Europe are ready to support it as much as they can, including the efforts of EU Council President Charles Michel.

The chancellor made it clear that both sides should resolve existing differences and open questions only by peaceful means and without the use of force," the German government said in a statement.
