Azerbaijan and Georgia have close economic relations, Azerbaijan is one of the top 5 trade partners of Georgia, said Levan Davitashvili, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, APA reports.

"The trade turnover between our countries is increasing every year. Investments are directed from Azerbaijan to Georgia and vice versa. We also have international projects, and both Azerbaijan and Georgia play a leading role in these projects," Davitashvili said.

The minister noted that Georgia participates as the main partner of Azerbaijan in the implemented mega projects. He added that these projects, mainly aimed at energy security, make a significant contribution to Europe's energy security.
