Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has announced Azerbaijan's view on the resolution of the Russia-Ukraine crisis, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said this at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, APA reports
The minister said that in September last year, the cities of Lachin and Irpem became sister cities: "This has great meaning. During today's meetings, we had a broad exchange of views on regional challenges. My colleague shared with me the latest developments in the context of the Russia-Ukraine war. Azerbaijan's position on this issue is clear and based on international law. We support the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Our greatest desire is a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict and we want a ceasefire to be achieved as soon as possible. We also highly appreciate the Russia-Ukraine meeting in Turkey. The agreement on the largest exchange of prisoners of war so far as a result of the negotiations is the greatest result. We wish for a ceasefire and lasting peace in the next stage."
