“There are additional criteria that could make the signing of the peace treaty possible. The choice is Armenia's," Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated at a joint press conference with Serbia's Foreign Minister Marko Djuric, APA reports.
Minister stated that Armenia must abandon its territorial claims against its neighbors, primarily Azerbaijan: “No energy should be spent finding excuses for this. Attempts to make comparisons between the constitutions of Armenia and Azerbaijan are also irrelevant. We had communicated the existence of this problem to the other side 2 years ago. As a constructive party, we did not set this as a condition for negotiations but sought a resolution. However, they tried to ignore this issue. At that time, they did not make any claims regarding the Azerbaijani Constitution. The Azerbaijani Constitution does not contain any territorial claims against any neighboring state, including Armenia.”
