"Islamophobia is not only a social scourge but also the fragmentation of social justice," said Ravan Hasanov, Executive Director of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center at the international scientific conference themed "Islamophobia: Unveiling Bias and Dismantling Stigmas" held in Baku, APA reports.
He said that today, clear manifestations of Islamophobia are noticeable in societies.
R. Hasanov also spoke about social injustice against Muslims in India and France: “Unfortunately, we see clear manifestations of Islamophobia in societies. For example, there are tendencies of public discourse in France and the oppression of Muslims in India. Let us raise our voice against injustice from this platform. I know that we must find the correct terms, but no term sufficiently expresses injustice against Islam. We are not so naive as to solve problems related to Islamophobia with just one conference. An international conference dedicated to Islamophobia is an opportunity for experts to come together and find ways out. Let us live in a world where the fight against Islamophobia becomes an international platform."
