Executive Director: Any form of modern colonialism is aimed at violating human rights

“Any form of modern colonialism is aimed at violating independence, democracy, and human rights,” said Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group, Abbas Abbasov, at the international scientific conference titled “Imperial Structure: Colonial Ideologies and Realities,” organized by the group in Baku, APA reports.

He touched upon the activities of the Baku Initiative Group: “Our main goal is to more effectively convey the problems of people living under colonial conditions to the global community. Since we began our work, we have succeeded in disseminating report documents within the framework of the United Nations on the issues faced by peoples living under colonial rule, as well as organizing a series of events both in Azerbaijan and in several other countries around the world.”
