"Hungary will acquire a share in the Shah Deniz gas field, which has an annual production volume of 30 billion cubic meters of gas in Azerbaijan," the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, said at today's press conference, APA reports.
According to him, Europe's gas supply is unimaginable without Azerbaijan: "Azerbaijan is a very important player in Hungary's energy security. This ensures long-term stability. This year, for the first time, Hungary produced 50,000 cubic meters of gas from SOCAR. At the same time, Hungary's investments in Azerbaijan's green energy sector reached 2 billion dollars."
