"I send my love and respect to my brothers across Azerbaijan, from Baku to Ganja, from Shusha to Nakhchivan," said President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during his speech before the concert dedicated to May 28 – Independence Day, held in the city of Lachin, APA reports.
"I want to convey the greetings of 86 million hearts that storm with emotion when they hear 'Dear Azerbaijan,' 'Two states, one nation.' Today, in this scene, we see three states, one nation. As a son of a nation that knows very well how independence is achieved and how valuable it is, I sincerely congratulate you on your Independence Day. I remember with mercy the heroes who crowned our glorious struggles for freedom and future with their martyrdom," Erdoğan emphasized.
The President of Türkiye recited the following lines from Samad Vurgun's poem "Azerbaijan":
All people know that you're my land,
My life, my nest, my country grand,
My dearest mother, my native strand.
Can one split body and soul in a man?
Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan!
I am your child-my mother you,
The bonds uniting us are true.
No matter if here and there I flew,
You are my nest, my only one,
You are my folk, ny land, my sun.
