Today, in the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, the documents approved at the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) were announced, APA reports.
During the meeting, an updated Concept on cooperation in the field of public health protection within the CIS was approved.
This document by being a revised version of the one adopted more than 20 years ago incorporates a modern approach to the concept of “health protection” and the principles of joint activity. The document also outlines tasks related to promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population and strengthening public health. The Concept also envisions the organization of joint projects in scientific and innovative research, as well as in the medical and pharmaceutical fields.
The Charter of the CIS Volunteer Forum was also approved. According to the new document, the Forum will be held annually and will contribute to the exchange of experience among the youth of member states and to strengthening international cooperation. The Forum will be hosted by a different CIS country each time.
At the meeting, a document reflecting the technical and organizational principles for the creation and management of a joint communication system for the armed forces of CIS countries was also adopted. In addition, the updated Charter of the Council of Heads of State and Public Broadcasting Organizations and the main directions and measures for the development of a monitoring and assessment system for the radiation, chemical, and biological situation in the CIS area until 2030 were approved.
Finally, the members of the CIS Council of Heads of Government adopted a decision on the establishment of a new badge titled “For the Development of Tourism in the CIS.” In accordance with the decision, the rules for awarding the badge, its design, and the format of the corresponding certificate were also approved.
