“Moscow’s aim in normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is to help the two states to set off on the path of reconciliation and peaceful interaction,” said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

He noted that Russia offers consultations on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border to Baku and Yerevan, because there are topographical materials in Moscow.

“We are always ready to be venue for peace treaty negotiations. We hope that instead of efforts of involving non-regional players whose activities aim to squeeze the Russian Federation out of this process, to disrupt the current balance of power in the South Caucasus and thereby creating another source of instability in Russia's neighborhood, the approach of implementation of tripartite agreements is the most reliable way of normalization will prevail in Yerevan,” Galuzing told in his interview with Rossiya24.

The Deputy Minister also stressed that there is no alternative to Russia's role in the dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan: “The foundations of settlement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, under the auspices of Russia, at the initiative of Putin, were created. Russia provides assistance in all matters regarding the conclusion of the peace treaty.”
