“Azerbaijan and Brazil will soon present draft decisions expected to be adopted at COP30 during the upcoming session in Bonn,” Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev told journalists, APA reports.
He also shared Azerbaijan’s expectations from COP30: “Azerbaijan’s presidency of COP29 is still ongoing. The country is actively leading the process in this direction. One of the major expectations from COP30, which will take place in November in the city of Belém, Brazil, is the preparation of a $1.3 trillion roadmap from Baku to Belém. The main goal is to ensure the implementation of the climate decisions adopted in Baku and to define concrete directions for increasing the initial $300 billion commitment to $1.3 trillion over the next decade. Currently, the Azerbaijani Presidency, together with the Brazilian Presidency, is working on other anticipated decisions. In the near future, at the session to be held in Bonn, Azerbaijan and Brazil will present draft decisions expected to be adopted at COP30.”
