Deputy FM says Azerbaijan faces mass landmine threat at meeting of Committee of Ministers of Council of Europe

Delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fariz Rzayev, attended the 133rd session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on May 16-17, 2024 in Strasbourg, APA reports citing Ministry press service.

During his speech in the session, Deputy FM informed Azerbaijan had conducted large-scale restoration in 9 cities and more than 300 villages, which were completely destroyed as a result of military occupation, after putting an end to the armed conflict with Armenia in 2020. F. Rzayev reminded about 4,000 compatriots had gone missing and noted that Azerbaijan faced with mass landmine threat, and Armenia did not cooperate regarding the solution of these issues.
