Prime Minister of Belarus Aleksandr Turchin, on an official visit to Azerbaijan, visited Victory Park in Baku on May 6, APA reports.
An honor guard was lined up in tribute to the high-ranking guest. Turchin laid a wreath at the Victory monument.
The guest is briefed on the symbolic significance of the park, which honors the heroism of the Azerbaijani people during the Patriotic War and commemorates the martyrs of the historic victory.
It is noted that the 10-hectare park features a 44-meter-high, 22-meter-wide Victory Arch with 44 columns, symbolizing the 44-day war.
The park was officially opened on November 8, 2024, in a ceremony attended by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
