On May 13, Colonel General Ramil Usubov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with the delegation led by Okay Memiş, Secretary General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Türkiye, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, Security Council told APA.
Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, also attended the meeting.
R. Usubov expressed his hope that the Secretary General’s first visit to our country in his new position, today’s event, and especially the meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev will contribute to strengthening peace and security in the territories of the two brotherly states.
Mr. Okay Memiş emphasized that he will spare no effort in strengthening and deepening the cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries and noted that such meetings play an important role in enhancing joint activities in the field of security.
During the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
Members of the delegation visited the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the Alley of Martyrs, and the Turkish Martyrs’ Memorial.
