On September 23, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov met with Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Hikmat Hajiyev, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia released information, APA reports.
During the detailed conversation, confidential views were exchanged on international and regional issues of mutual interest.
Special attention was paid to the Middle East, emphasizing the development of the military and political situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone and southern Lebanon.
At the same time, the commitment of Moscow and Baku to continue close foreign policy coordination both in a bilateral format and on various international platforms was confirmed.
