Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), Rovshan Rustamov met with the Secretary General of the OSCE, Feridun Sinirlioğlu, ADY told APA-Economics.
The meeting, held at the Baku International Sea Trade Port, focused on opportunities for cooperation in the field of transport and logistics.
The OSCE delegation was provided with extensive information about Azerbaijan’s transport and logistics potential within the framework of the project initiated by Azerbaijan titled “Promotion of Green Ports and Connectivity in the Caspian Sea Region.”
It was noted that within the framework of reforms carried out to strengthen Azerbaijan’s transit potential, the integration of the Baku Port into ADY will not only expand the country’s transit capabilities but also contribute to a more efficient organization of cargo transportation along international corridors.
The parties stated that jointly implemented projects and initiatives will serve to strengthen Azerbaijan’s position as a transportation hub and will overall contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
