"Reconstruction and restoration work is currently underway in the liberated territories, and the return of former IDPs (internally displaced persons) is taking place every month," said Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a joint press conference with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, APA reports.

The Minister noted that new roads are being built in the liberated territories and two airports are already operational: “Another airport will open soon. A university is also operating in the liberated territories. These areas are no longer construction sites, but are turning into places where people live. The biggest challenge in this direction is mine contamination. Over one million mines were planted by Armenia in these areas. Our relevant state agencies, in cooperation with international organizations, have carried out a great deal of work. However, the scale of the task is so large that demining efforts will continue for years to come. So far, nearly 400 of our citizens have fallen victim to landmines, with 70 fatalities. The vast majority of them are civilians. Today, in connection with restoration efforts in the liberated territories, potential cooperation with the OSCE in the field of demining could be of interest to us.”
