On April 21, 2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Yalchin Rafiyev, visited the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, MFA told APA.
Within the framework of the visit, the second round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria was held in Algiers. The consultations were led by Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Yalchin Rafiyev and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, Lounes Magramane.
During the consultations, a broad exchange of views took place on the current state of bilateral political, economic, trade, and parliamentary relations, as well as their future development prospects. It was noted that there are vast opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil and gas, as well as renewable energy.
During the political consultations, the parties exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
