"Peace is between Baku and Yerevan, it does not bound to Paris, Brussels or other places. The two countries (Azerbaijan and Armenia - ed.) should come together and sign a peace treaty," said Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration during his speech at the panel titled "Peace, Development and Connectivity in South Caucasus" within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2024, APA's correspondent assigned to Antalya reports.

Hikmat Hajiyev also underlined that a peace treaty should not be signed just for the sake of signing, but a real intention is needed to obtain peace.

According to the president's assistant, Azerbaijan wants to transform the South Caucasus region and make it a region of peace, security and cooperation.
