Assistant to Azerbaijani President: We hope justice will be served through transparent and open court investigations

"Azerbaijan has managed to put an end to the conflict thanks to responsible state governance," Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev said during his speech at Karabakh University as part of the diplomatic corps’ visit to Khankendi, APA reports.

Hikmet Hajiyev stated that the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regions are entering a new historical phase of reconstruction, transformation, and restoration: “The perpetrators of crimes committed against Azerbaijan, including war crimes and crimes against humanity, are already being held accountable before the law. Judicial proceedings are currently ongoing in Azerbaijan. We hope that through transparent and open court investigations, justice will be served. Azerbaijan has established a new status quo in the South Caucasus region based on the principles of international law and territorial integrity.”
