“We have a lot of experience in detecting mies due to our activities in different countries. We will further expand our cooperation with ANAMA,” said Ivana Živković, Assistant Secretary-General of United Nations, Assistant Administrator and Director, Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Zangilan, APA reports.
“We will support those working in the field of demining to acquire educational and practical knowledge in Azerbaijan along with the countries of the region. This is just the beginning of our cooperation with ANAMA,” - the UN official stressed.
She noted that ANAMA has great experience in the field of demining: “It should be admitted that the practices of ANAMA employees are applied in other countries. Here, the most modern methods are used in the process of demining the lands. This includes artificial intelligence as well as the use of animals, in addition to innovative technologies. We, as an international organization, also support this activity in Azerbaijan."
