"Cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor is ongoing. At the same time, the work on laying the internet communication cable along the bottom of the Caspian Sea is progressing according to plan. This process is expected to be completed next year," said Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel, at the 4th meeting of the Azerbaijan–Kazakhstan Expert Council, APA reports.
The diplomat also spoke about the contribution of high-level mutual visits to the development of bilateral relations.
Alim Bayel said that work is ongoing on the start of exports of green energy produced in his country to Europe via Azerbaijan: "This process is expected to be completed next year. At the same time, work is ongoing on the start of exports of green energy to Europe via Azerbaijan. Indicators related to the development of mutual trade and tourism are also increasing year by year. Kazakhstan exported grain crops to Azerbaijan in a volume of 80% within a year. We have organized a presentation in Baku of universities operating in Kazakhstan. We expect that this summer, Azerbaijan will become a member of the Trade Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries. Cooperation between our countries is at a high level. As President Ilham Aliyev also stated, our friendship has become even stronger after the accident that occurred last year in Aktau."
