Kylian Mbappe on Tuesday was officially presented as a Real Madrid player at the Santiago Bernabeu after signing for Los Blancos last month on a five-year deal, Apasport.az reports citing Geo Super.
Mbappe, 25, was signed on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after his deal with the French club ended and will stay with the Whites till 2029, as per his five-year contract.
Madrid were after Mbappe since 2017 and after finally signing him, the Los Blancos will try to make the most of his signing. The Frenchman will also lead the attack with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes next to him as he has been given number nine by the club.
Mbappe was welcomed during the presentation by Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez and club legend Zinedine Zidane.
The Frenchman thanked Perez for bringing him to the club and admitted that playing for Real Madrid has always been his dream.
"Thank you, President Perez, many things happened, but you always trusted me,” Mbappe began. "Madridstas gave me so much love all these years. Thank you so much. This is a dream come true. Now I have another dream. To match your expectations.
"It's an honour to play for the greatest club of all time. I am a happy boy today. To all the kids here, I am like you. I was like you. My advice is to never give up because one day you can be in my place."
Perez welcomed Mbappe and lauded him for making efforts to join the club of his dreams.
