In January–March 2025, Azerbaijan's total imports rose by 52.6% compared to the same period last year, reaching $5.66 billion, APA reports, citing the State Customs Committee.
The state sector accounted for 39% of imports ($2.21 billion), the private sector for 52% ($2.36 billion), and individuals for 9% ($498.8 million).
Compared to the first quarter of 2024, state sector imports increased fivefold, private sector imports rose by 4.6%, and individual imports grew by 13.1%.
It is also reported that in Q1 2025, state sector exports amounted to $2.98 billion, private sector exports to $3.39 billion, and individual exports to $21.7 million.
