Georgia’s trade turnover with Azerbaijan declines up to 19%

During January-June 2024, Georgia's exports to Azerbaijan decreased by 23.3% in annual terms and amounted to USD 318.19 million, according to the report of Georgian National Statistics Office, APA’s Tbilisi correspondent reports.

It was noted that during the reporting period, exports to Azerbaijan accounted for 11.2% of Georgia's total exports. By this indicator, Azerbaijan was the 4th key trade partner of Georgia.

In the first half of the current year, Georgia's import from Azerbaijan decreased by 12.5% ​​in annaul comparison and amounted to USD 279.61 million. This was equal to 3.7% of the total import of Georgia.

By this indicator, Azerbaijan was the 6th key import partner of Georgia.

In general, the volume of trade between the two countries in the first half of this year was USD 597.8 million. This is USD 136.35 million or 18.6% less compared to the same period of the previous year.
